1975-2000
In
the year 1975 a big step towards higher production was made. A modern yarn
steaming machine and one of the first fully automatic balling machines
were installed. In this year the demand for handknitting yarns increased
suddenly. One year later a new building for the raw material stock
and the opening & blending department was built.
At
the beginning of the 80ies there was also a big demand of woollen yarns
for knitting machines. The export of handknitting yarns to
foreign countries was also expanded and further increased.
In
the year 1984 Bartle Fischer died at the age of 81 years. A life full of
work, 61 years, for the woollen mill was finished.
The
fifth generation of woolen spinners began a new chapter in the history of
the company, when Klaus and Karl-Heinz started their work in the mid 90ies.
A
complete rebuilding of the woollen mill was planned and realized in 1998. A
modern building out of wood was built where a new spinning plant was
installed. It brought a improvement of the yarn quality and a
rationalization of the production. In the same step the blending machine
was replaced by a automatic box.
The
new generation of the Fischer family has now the best conditions to carry
on the long tradition of their forefathers.
The
hard work of the founders was not for nothing!
