The family and also the company was hit very hard when Mrs. Wilhelmine died in 1953 at the age of 49 years. Only because daughter Myrtha and brother Kurt worked together very closely with their father Bartle, the woollen mill survived.

In 1955 the dyeing department was closed. Three years later the spinning technologie made a big step : the self-acting mule was replaced with a modern ring-spinning frame.

In the 60ies the demand of handknitting yarns was good. Well known department stores and mail order firms from Austria became customers.

Kurt Fischer, the owner of today, began working in 1962. He learned the processing of wool from his father and had great plans with the mill. He extended the company two years later with a new building. The demand grew well and new customers in Austria and foreign countries were added.  In 1968 Kurt married Maria Greußing a daughter of a hotelkeeper in Schoppernau. With her, he had a diligent wife at his side. In 1969 the woollen mill was expanded again. The new building brought many advantages for the production so that it climbed from 15.000 kg to 80.000 kg a year.
